About Me

I was born in Washington D.C. but moved to Houston thereafter. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of William & Mary where I also was a four year letterman in Track & Field. I also have an Executive MBA in Finance from Texas Southern University. I currently work for Resideo (a division of Honeywell Home) where I am the Residential Distribution Director over South Texas. I oversee and drive our residential business operations in Houston, Austin, San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley markets with distributor partners in the HVAC industry. I also oversee all training on our products and services both at the distributor and contractor levels.

I was elected to the Clear Creek Independent School Board back in May 2015, serving as the Secretary and Vice President the past four years. Prior to serving on the board, I have been the PTA President at Hall Elementary, served on the district Strategic Plan committee, participated in INSIDE and participated in the 2013 Bond Committee. During my time on the board, I have continued to participate in INSIDE and served on the Clear Creek Education Foundation. I have also served on the Board's Policy, Legislative, Finance and Executive committees. You can find me at various events throughout the district including sporting events, fine art performances and other programs.

My wife, Carrie, and I have three children. Adeline Terry who has a 4th Grader in the district, Jay Jr who graduated last year and is attending college and Jordan who is a Freshman at Clear Springs High School.
